Yes it’s true that the middle trunk is too straight and boring, but what can I do with it? But I think that something is wrong in the top of the tree.

your tree is - to say it somehow polish - not lost yet.


I have the impression too, that you should cut the trunk as others have mentioned. But I would probably wait until spring and try to airlayer it then. This might lead to a second tree, maybe a formal broom or so. In that particular case, the ugly top could be perfect.

Hi Adam,

I suggest to take out only the trunk in the middle. Maybe you can bend down the right branch and bend upwards the left branch to form a new trunk or you tilt the whole tree (or what is left of it if you take out the middle trunk) for some 20 degrees to the right.
